MDWF 144b Midwife's Assistant Orientation/Second Attendant Orientation



How can I take the Second Attendant Course offered through the Midwives College of Utah?

Contact MCU at office@midwifery.edu and request enrollment in the MDWF 144b course.  You will need to provide a credit card number over the phone or send a money order to the school.  You will then be sent the syllabus on line! All the information about the required texts etc. is included in the syllabus.

You will have access to a live instructor via email as you work your way through this course.

Is this course only for Canadian Students?


No this is an excellent course for student planning to apply for a preceptorship at a clinical midwifery site. It orientates students to be a competent assistants during labor, delivery and postpartum.

What is the cost of taking the course form MCU and how many credits is this course?


MDWF 144b Midwife's Assistant/Second Attendant Orientation is a three (3) credit course. Tuition for the course is $555.00 not including books and materials.
Course materials may run $250.00 and wil require a DVD player.  You may contact the instructor for VHS suported materials if necessary.
